Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Airport – Arusha in Arusha to Monduli

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our representative at the arrival point. The driver guide will collect you from the airport then drive to Arusha City and proceed to Moduli. Knowing each other is important so the driver guide will give you a short explanation about the safari in a nutshell.
Monduli Juu is situated 50kms northwest of Arusha, the aim at the area is hiking and conducting cultural tour. For sure after reaching the area our driver guide will leave the following routine to the professional Maasai guide. The Maasai guide is the one who will give you the actual knowledge and experience of the day’s cultural tour and hiking activity. It is a cluster of four small villages – Emairete, Enguiki, Eluwai and Mfereji. The tour starts at Emirate dam and takes you past the Maasai church, primary school and kindergarten project up to Naramatu. Further up the mountain and enjoy the scenic views. Have local hot lunch in a Maasai boma before visiting a traditional Maasai herbs doctor.
Later in the evening you will be taken to Nsya Lodge found in Mto Wa Mbu for dinner and overnight – FB.

Day 2: Lake Eyasi

Breakfast then with your driver guide travel about 70km to Lake Eyasi to conduct various activities with the natives.
Lake Eyasi is a shallow and seasonal salt-lake on the floor of the great rift-valley at the base of Serengeti Plateau. The special attraction of Lake Eyasi are the Hadzabe and Tindiga Bushmen known as the last community of hunters and gatherers in Africa. It’s a hot, dry area, around which live the Hadzabe people who are believed to have lived here for nearly 10,000 years. Also in the area there are the Datoga (Mang’ati), and the Iraq (Mbulu) and various other groups. Get to experience activities like gathering, black smith by Datoga tribe, bird watching as well as knowing the history of such unique village and the people living in it. You will get such history and cultural experience from the skilled native guide in the area who has lived for years. You will enjoy the hot local lunch in the afternoon from the area.
Later after the cultural enjoyment get to Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight- FB.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Crater Tour)

Early morning hunting activity in Lake Eyasi until 8AM then get to the lodge for breakfast, at 09Am depart from the lodge and descend into the crater for a game drive. Your game drive today will be like no other as you visit one of the most dramatic safari destinations in Africa, the Ngorongoro Crater (Garden of Eden).
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a protected area and a World Heritage Site located 180 km (110 mi) west of Arusha in the Crater Highlands area of Tanzania. The area is named after Ngorongoro Crater, a large volcanic caldera within the area. Descend to the crater floor in search of the Big Five with the forest-covered crater walls surrounding you, creating stunning backdrops for all of your wildlife photographs. Travel through the Lerai Forest looking for leopard and onto the plains where the wildebeest and zebra graze whilst cheetah and lion lay and watch. Old elephants, rhino wander and hippos hide in the pools.
Enjoy your picnic lunch and maximize your day in the crater. Later ascend and drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Nsya Lodge- FB.

Day 4: Lake Natron Tour.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Natron for conducting activities available that are inevitable. It is a colorful alkaline lake with plentiful soda-ash, hot springs and magnesite deposits. The lake is 57km long and 22km wide containing warm water that is an ideal breeding ground for the rift valley flamingoes. Apart from flamingoes you can also see Maasai sheep, goat and donkeys, fish and lots of bird species. You will also visit the waterfall that flows in Lake Natron region with a stunning natural formation called Ngare Sero Watefall to swim and enjoy the outlook of the landscape.
Later in the evening transfer at Africa Safari Natron Camp-Comfort for dinner and overnight – FB.

Day 5: Lake Natron Activities.

Wake up in the morning, take breakfast then on this day you will have to do some activities including walking nature safari to the River Ngarasero and visit masai Bomas later to the Lake Natron to go on conducting other activities with the natives.
Lake Natron is a colorful alkaline lake with plentiful soda-ash and hot springs and magnesite deposits. Get together and have a great taste of hot local lunch from the natives then you will be transferred to Mto Wa Mbu to your place of accommodation.

Day 6: Mto Wa Mbu Cultural Tour.

Breakfast at the lodge from classic servants then head to Mto Wa Mbu Cultural Heritage Site which is situated a bit close to your lodge for a cultural tour.
At Mto Wa Mbu village is where you will walk through the banana plantations and visit the home of local farming families with different tribes and cultures. Take in the colorful market and even taste some banana beer at a local brew house, then enjoy Local hot lunch prepared by the natives at the village. There are a lot of activities at the cultural site that you will experience on this day including a walking safari to the local areas. The best moment for you is the biking safari in the plantations and to the famous and attractive Miwaleni Waterfall. Later at the appropriate time you will be transferred back to Arusha, drop off to Olerai Lodge for dinner and overnight- HB.

Day 7: Departure Day.

Breakfast at leisure then you will be transferred from your lodge in Arusha in good times to Kilimanjaro International Airport, after arriving at the airport you will be drop off for you outbound flight.
