Excellent communication and service, and a knowledgeable guide
I had an excellent experience with Gundua, who were rapid to respond to my questions and were able to adapt their standard safari to offer something that fitted perfectly with my lack of flexibility in timing and specific requirements to offer a custom experience as a solo traveller. I undertook a three day Safari including walking into the Embakaai crater, a full day in the Ngorongoro crater, then return via Lake Manyara - an itinerary that provided dramatic landscapes and a wealth of wildlife. My guide was very knowledgeable and excellent at spotting and identifying wildlife, punctual and reliable. Trip of a lifetime
We really loved the whole trip. The Serengeti was fabulous, the Great Migration was heart pounding and finding the animals for photography was as challenging as it was fun. We recommend making the trip north for the Great Migration. We recommend setting up a Maasai encounter; they are warm and welcoming and you don't understand Tanzania without meeting them. We thought the balloon ride over the Serengeti to celebrate our anniversary was over the top. You don't need to buy a safari wardrobe, but avoiding bright colors is good. A good zoom lens for your camera is invaluable. Binocs are very helpful as well. Take a book of the wildlife of east Africa. Well worth using Gundua when visiting Tanzania
Patrick, our guide, was knowledgeable, experienced and a damned good driver. 5/5Gundua organized excellent accommodation, some in permanent lodges, some tented. All were spotless, in tiptop condition, and safe. We viewed countless wildebeest crossing the Mara, travelled on a network of roads in the Serengeti and Ngorogoro, experienced a wonderful thunderstorm and ate delicious meals wherever we were. Gundua is the top choice if you want to go to Tanzania!
We have experience travelling in Africa and doing safaris (more than 12 in 8 different countries) and I have no doubt to say that Gundua is one of the best agencies we have travelled with. Very professional from the beggining: quick answers, a lot of details showing their knowledge of the country... It is nos easy to choose as there are more than 50 agencies in Arusha, a lot of them working with freelance drivers working for several of them. And travelling with a 7 years old little girl it is more important for us th make the right choice! Gundua can be new but it is clear that the owner has many years of experience and knows the right drivers and the right camps and hotels. Our first feeling was correct: fair price (for the same price we stayed in better camps than other agencies were proosing, perfect communication and organization, nice and efficient driver (thanks Saidi for this great time! Gundua is a reliable operator, flexible with your trip and cares that you get the best experience
After asking several operators, we finally decided do our Tanzania trip with Gundua. Reason? They were always responding emails fast, adjusting our trip with our suggestions and money limits. Our trip was not an easy one to organize as we were doing 15 days with lots of activities but the selection they made was perfect to get best experience. Our Spanish driver and guide, Saidi, was also very polite, always looking for animals and with lot of experience. Summer (and Autumn) of Safaris - Amazing Journey
I traveled with Gundua African Adventures twice, once in July of 2021 to Ngorongoro and Tarangire Parks and again in October in Nyerere National Park/Selous. Both times I had an amazing time with guides Charles and Michael respectively. I've traveled on Tanzanian Safaris for nearly two dozen times over the past 15 years, either for personal travel or for work (I am the service learning coordinator at an international school in the middle east so I have taken student groups to East Africa many times on safari) and both of these two trips have been highlights of my safari experiences.

Gundua is safe adventure
My wife and I did a 5-days safari with a company called ‘Gundua Africa’ from Arusha in December 2019. We chose to repeat with them for we knew the owner Mr. Pius from years ago and were very satisfied. What a pleasure to see again after 15 years! That time he put all our services together for a memorable Kilimanjaro climb and a trip to Tarangire NP. Also this time we were not disappointed at all. Actually we were in doubt until the day of arrival if for weather conditions we should visit Ngorongoro and Serengeti. We took the chance and, incredible, we called Mr. Pius from the Kilimanjaro airport to arrange the tour for us last minute after we locally checked the weather and travel conditions with him and his staff. After a day of planning and relax we were on the move. Gundua gave us what easily could be his best driver guide, Mr. Facus who found much more than the Big Five for us, a 4X4 vehicle sized as if the 2 of us were presidents and a fine choice of the finest hotels and tented camps in strategically fine places suitable to watch the wildlife migration at the proper place at this time of the year. Just what we wanted: not a luxury trip but also not basic. Gundua adjusts to your needs. We have the feeling they give you a bit more than what you actually pay for. Best is always to find out yourself with Gundua Africa by tailor making your safari according to budget.A gift from Mr. Pius at the end of our tour were the suggestions of visiting nature and cultural places in the Pare Mountains. What an amazing journey

Amazing trip to Tanzania!
I was very happy with the planning and various adventures that Pius provided. I felt very good about them helping me to plan a unique experience to go both up Mount Kilimanjaro and on safari. I don’t know anybody else who can plan what this company can. They know all the best guides and trackers ( which we used to find the Bushman for an incredible afternoon) Guides ensured that we made it to the summit of the mountain in the safest manner. Love this company! Recommended for sure!
