Summit Happy Home –  Child Support & Volunteer Program in Tanzania

Summit Happy Home is a community-based children’s care center established in 2019 to provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing home for orphaned and vulnerable children in Tanzania. The center focuses on holistic child development through education, healthcare, emotional support, and daily care in a stable and loving environment.

Our mission is to ensure that every child receives:

  • Safe accommodation
  • Access to education
  • Proper nutrition
  • Essential medical care
  • Emotional and psychological support

Since its establishment, Summit Happy Home has grown from supporting six children to caring for ten, all under the attentive supervision of trained caregivers and dedicated staff committed to their well-being and development.

Volunteer Requirements & Guidelines

To ensure a safe, respectful, and meaningful experience for both volunteers and children, participants are expected to meet the following requirements:

  • Volunteers must be 18 years or older

  • Minimum stay is 2 weeks (longer placements are welcome)

  • Volunteers should have relevant skills or a genuine interest in working with children

  • Respect for local culture and community values is essential

  • Volunteers must maintain professional and responsible conduct

  • Smoking and alcohol are not permitted at the project

  • Adaptability and patience are important when working in environments with limited resources
